Welder – Northern Shutdowns and Shop Work

A.L. Tech inc., a company specialized in industrial mechanics, is looking for versatile welders to work on shutdowns in Northern Quebec (14/14 rotation) as well as shop work in Val-des-Sources, depending on client needs.

This position is ideal for candidates who want to combine the benefits of remote assignments with the stability of shop work between contracts.

Main Responsibilities:
• Perform welding tasks (MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW) on northern industrial job sites
• Assist in the installation, maintenance, or repair of metal structures and mechanical equipment
• Carry out fabrication or repair work in the shop between shutdown projects
• Read and interpret technical drawings

Required Qualifications:
• DEP in welding and fitting or equivalent training
• Experience on industrial job sites (shutdown experience is a strong asset)
• CWB certification (an asset)
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid ASP Construction card (mandatory)

Desired Profile:
• Available for 14-day work / 14-day rest rotations in Northern Quebec
• Flexible to work at the shop between contracts
• Autonomous, detail-oriented, and a strong team player
• Good physical condition and able to handle demanding environments
